Outtake video from our Swansea Bay Film Festival acceptance speech!

After our success at the London Independent Film Festival where we won Best Sci Fi/Horror film, we are delighted to be nominated for Best Film at the Swansea Bay Film festival.

Once again our film is up against other films made for budgets one hundred times the amount Nuryan was made for. We can’t make the awards evening because we are out filming The Sweet Shop, but we have sent through a video acceptance speech and as you can see from the video below, we had a bit of trouble recording it – take a look at our outtakes!

MWS Media win prestigious award at London Independent Film Festival (LIFF) with first feature film “Nuryan”

We’re very pleased to announce that MWS Media have won the Award for Best Sci-fi/Horror Feature Film at the London Independent Film Festival (LIFF) with “Nuryan”, their first feature length film. The ceremony took place Saturday evening at a venue in London’s trendy Southbank area.

MWS Media, a film and video production company based in Newbury, Berkshire, made the film in December 2008, premiered the film in September of 2009 receiving praise for its adventurous approach to filmmaking. Bertie Stephens, the Producer of “Nuryan” and a Director of MWS Media said “Not only was the film made on an extremely low budget, we also decided to push ourselves creatively by making an entire film in split screen.”

Interview with Phil White, the man ‘all things music’ behind The Sweet Shop.

We sat down with Phil White, the composer of all the music for ‘The Sweet Shop’. Alongside Nick Blair, Phil will also be recording the location sound and creating the film’s audio mix. We wanted to find out more about Phil’s inspiration behind The Sweet Shop’s soundtrack.

The one minute Avatar! Starring members of the West Berks Business Lunch

On the 8th April 2010, in partnership with the attendees of the West Berkshire business lunch. MWS Media recreated ‘Avatar’. We used our presentation time to bring as much interaction as possible to our 20 minute slot and produce a spoof, one minute version of the biggest film of last year.

We tried to show we’re not about producing ‘just a video’. We’re about insight, looking at the bigger picture, strategic planning, finding the best way to deliver your message and we are great fun to work with. When starting a new project with any client, we spend time throwing around copious ideas to develop something creative enough to catch the eye, and with the right strategy to deliver your project goals.

Starting in June and running throughout July, we have 20% off shoot days. We love having guests, even if you don’t have anything in mind, just pop in and see us. You never know what you might end up taking away. Call us today on 01635 44812 or email for further details.

After the great news that we have been officially selected for the London Independent Film Festival, we have learned of our nomination in the prestigious best Best UK Feature category. We are proud of this nomination and can give away tickets to the screening of ‘Nuryan’ in London THIS Saturday.
